The second training session – “Think on your feet (Debating)” by champion debater, Leeanne Bradley.

In this lively, interactive Debating Course you will learn how to think fast on your feet and get over the fears of debating, get your argument across, and the rules to a good debate. This is all done in a fun yet relaxed environment, to allow everyone the chance to learn, regardless of whether you have debated before, or it is completely new to you.

Free to JCI Members and £5 for non-members

Your Facilitator – Leeanne Bradley

Leanne joined JCI Edinburgh in 2011 to build her network of young professionals in Edinburgh and she never thought Public speaking or Debating would become the main highlights of her JCI career. According to Leanne who is a self-employed Independent Financial Adviser, to be able to communicate successfully is a vital skill required to be a successful individual. It is a skill that once gained, never leaves you and is used in everyday life from liaising with your work colleagues to constructive arguing with your pals down the pub! The better you become at it, the easier getting your point across will be.

Leanne loves debating and has debated in many countries including Ireland, Brazil, Malta, Germany and even our neighbours down South! She has won lots of titles and trophies (incl. becoming the world champion in 2014) and owes her confidence in speaking to everything she has learned through her membership in JCI.
