Always fancied a visit to Edinburgh, or are you keen to learn more about your home (or adopted) city? We have the perfect event for you! In partnership with Invisible (Edinburgh), we’re pleased to offer you a fantastic virtual tour of Scotland’s capital city.
Invisible (Edinburgh) is part of Invisible Cities, a global social enterprise that trains people who have experienced homelessness to become walking tour guides of their own city. They give people a voice, when they haven’t had one before, putting them at the centre of the attention and challenging the stigmas that exist around homelessness.
About the tour:
Follow Paul, an Edinburgh local on a tour of HIS Edinburgh! See some of the city’s famous sights and streets, learn some history and hear some of Paul’s personal stories and signets along the way. Are you ready?
On the day of the tour (Friday 5th June), all attendees will be sent links to the files for the virtual tour, which you can view and access from the comfort of your own home. The proposed start time is 18:30 (GMT) when attendees can browse through the virtual tour (this should take around 45 minutes).
At 19:15 (GMT), guests will be invited to join a group Zoom call with the tour guide and fellow attendees, for a live discussion and Q&A. Zoom details will also be shared on the day.
This event is open to all (members and non members of JCI), and we welcome you to join us. To help in raising money for the brilliant Invisible Cities, we are asking for a donation to secure your ticket. Sign up via Eventbrite and help us to support the great cause.
