COP26 Panel Discussion
JCI Aberdeen would like to invite you to our special panel discussion for COP26. Our panel guests will be discussing the future of Aberdeen after oil, energy transition, climate change and what young people can do to make a difference. We will have speakers from academia, industry, business, and an energy start up, to help us to understand this complex issue and answer some fundamental questions on what is going on.
Our panel guests are:
- Tom Baxter, Senior Lecturer at Aberdeen University and visiting professor of chemical engineering at Strathclyde University. He is also a chemical engineering consultant providing greenhouse gas reduction expertise.
- Gary Fines – Region Director Subsea Production Systems Europe/RCIS/MENAT and SSA at Baker Hughes, He will discuss how the Oil and Gas industry is changing as it works towards energy transition and how these changes are key to a more positive climate reality in the future.
- Katherine Innes is a Director with Deloitte UK, specialising in Energy & Resources. Providing insight into how businesses and the industry are implementing their ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) strategies and organisations are changing as part of energy transition and in order to achieve net zero targets.
- Daniel Csimszi, JCI Aberdeen Board member and the founder of Eco Energio, a cloud platform that helps companies understand their energy data and provides insight for improving energy efficiency and reducing energy waste.
- Ross Jolly, experienced recruiter in the energy sector and founder of Aberdeen Young Professional Network, a network that helps young future leaders across Aberdeen city and Aberdeenshire.
