Hosted by JCI Scotland, this Academy is for JCI members who are interesting in learning more about debating at all levels and keen to get some practice in with other members.

This will be an in-person event that will be hosted in Edinburgh, Scotland. As part of a ticket bundle, for only £100 all academy delegates will get the opportunity to attend JCI Edinburgh’s Burns Celebration, a night of Scottish traditions and a lot of fun!For those who only want to join the academy, then debating only tickets are set at £45.We will aim to start the academy at 6pm GMT on Friday 18th and will finish around midday on Sunday 20th. Why learn debating with JCI Scotland?
JCI Scotland has a long history of competing in debates over the years. In fact, the debating award at World Congress is named after a former JCI Scotland member and 1963 World President, Eric Stevenson, who introduced debating to the congress programme!Scotland has competed many times on the international stage and has brought several trophies home, including the first online debate at the 2020 European Conference. JCI Scotland is also creating a legacy as trainers of debating and our academy graduates have gone on to win several Local, National, European and World Competitions!
