There is no Planet B.
JCI Aberdeen, in partnership with Let’s Do It World, will be taking part in the global World Cleanup Day project on Saturday, 18th September. The project started in 2008 when JCI Estonia, in collaboration with the government, business leaders and over 500 civic organisations, launched a campaign to clean up their communities and their country of the waste which had been dumped illegally all over the landscape. Since then, it has grown and has turned into one of the fastest growing global civic movements of modern times. The project is now supported by governments and businesses in over 150 countries worldwide.
Come join us, together with over 50 million volunteers worldwide, in cleaning up our respective communities of litter and waste! Meet us at the entrance of Torry Point Battery at 10:00AM with your bin bags and litter pickers! Speaking of litter pickers, Mike Scotland and our friends at the amazing local organisation, community cleanUP, have kindly lent us 30 pieces of litter pickers for the day. If you’d like to borrow one, please let us know when you register.
How to register?
Would you like to sign up on behalf of your company or group?
If you’re part of an organisation or a young professional, community or active citizen group and would like to get involved, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Daniel Doherty, JCI Aberdeen President on email@example.com and he’ll be happy to help!
Please note: JCI Aberdeen will be taking photos at the event. The images may be used by JCI Aberdeen in press releases, printed publicity and published on our website, LinkedIn page and social media platforms (e.g.,Facebook, Instagram , Twitter, etc.). If you would prefer for you or your child not to be photographed, please speak to Isabel Simon on the day of the event (she will be wearing a nametag so you can easily identify her). Alternatively, you may email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
One more thing: After the 2-hour litter picking activity, you’re also more than welcome to join us for some ‘burgers and beers’ (details of this social/lunch will be announced on the day).
