JCI Members tell us their experiences of being a JCI Member
Name: Teslim Oderinu
Where did you hear about JCI?
Through a friend who invited me to a JCI Aberdeen event
Why did you join JCI?
I liked the events I attended. They were (and still are!) very good for learning new things, especially if you are keen on personal and career development. JCI is also great for networking, which helps with job searching. JCI boosts my confidence and provides me with the skills and attributes to be a better leader. I am passionate about helping others, and JCI provides opportunities to take on projects that help individuals and the community.
What is your favourite thing about JCI?
I like the sense of community and friendship among members.
Why did you join the Board of JCI Aberdeen in 2023?
I wanted to contribute more and be more active as a member.
What is your advice to new JCI Members?
Don’t be shy and feel free to voice out your interests and wants on the kinds of projects and events you would like the organisation to deliver.
