This workshop will help you to develop your public speaking skills and speak with confidence

About this event

This workshop will focus on public speaking and how you can develop your confidence when facing an audience.

Your trainer, Roddy Macpherson, will bring knowledge and experience from his years on the public speaking circuit. The eye-catching picture of Roddy in the red coatee of his current position, Unicorn Pursuivant of Arms at the Lyon Court, is purposeful. His colourfulness is linguistic as well as sartorial. This has a purpose – to be persuasive.

This workshop will be a cheerful introduction to the ins-and-outs of public speaking, namely invention, arrangement, delivery – or, as Roddy prefers to put it, preparation, preparation, preparation.

You will leave this workshop with a better understanding of your own preparation methods and delivery style. You will learn to be more eloquent and be purposeful in your delivery, speaking without being tied to your notes…so long as you pass the vital test…to have something that needs to be said!

Note this personal development workshop is free with JCI membership and £10 for non-members.
