24 January - 26 January 2020
JCI Scotland are pleased to host the first Tri-Nation event of 2020!
Ever been petrified when someone asks you questions after your presentation?
Do you have the fear whenever anyone suggests that you debate at a local training event?
Perhaps you have debated before, but want to brush up your skills?
Then this is the academy for you!
At the Debate Academy, you will learn the basic rules of how a debate runs, how to best craft your arguments, learn where to add the fun into a debate, deal with difficult interruptions, and improve your on the feet thinking skill. There will also be an opportunity to network with fellow delegates and others at the Burns Gala Dinner.
We have two very experienced trainers who are looking to help you get the most out of your weekend and future debating. More details to follow!
The following is a rough schedule. Times and locations are subject to change. We advise you arrive by mid-afternoon on the Friday, and arrange your travel for late-afternoon/evening on the Sunday.
