JCI Edinburgh and the University of Edinburgh Business Society are excited to work together on a series of workshops to help you be the dream candidate for your dream job.

Over the course of three workshops you will learn all about how to make yourself stand out from the crowd, how you can make your CV stand out from the crowd, and how you can deal with a mental blank during an interview.

Join us for the first workshop of the series which is all about personal branding. During this workshop we will look at:

  • Thinking about social media as a job seeker
  • The importance of ‘personal brand’ online and digital first-impressions
  • Building credibility as a job seeker online
  • Practical tips to building your online profile
  • LinkedIn demystified; tips for jobseekers and rules of engagement.

The facilitator for this session is Nick Murray who is the Marketing & Partnerships Lead and inclusive employment specialists AAI Employability.

With an extensive background in branding and online engagement, as well and hands-on experience in the recruitment process of 500+ internships and permanent roles, Nick is passionate about helping jobseekers young and old to make a great first impression. He will be discussing why social media and a ‘professional personal brand’ is key to career success and sharing some practical tips to help you to stand out from the competition.

The next workshops will take place on Wednesday 7 (Thinking on your feet) and 14 October (CV & Interview Skills).

Don’t miss out and book your spot now! Each session separately costs £5 and we have a fantastic 3 for 2 deal to get all 3 sessions for only £10!

Zoom details will be shared on the day of the event.
